I can’t wait to go back! What a treat. The seating is arranged perfectly! You don’t feel overwhelmed with multiple tables surrounding you.
The food is delicious. I have never enjoyed Eggplant Parmigiana the way I did this evening, the risotto with shrimp is a must-try as well. Our server was fantastic. It took a little longer than expected to place an order but once we did, everything came out on a timely basis with no issues.
This place was everything and more than I expected. The photos drew me in. We sat outside under the grape vine covered pergola. The food, service and dessert were all above par. They had more than enough staff, the flourless cake was not frozen, we did not feel rushed at all and it was just the absolute perfect experience for my friend and I who hadn't seen eachother in over two years. Highly recommended.
Excellent service, great food! From the bread basket full of pizza strips and foccacia to homemade gelati and many traditional Italian dishes, Lucia was on point. Party of 6 was well taken care of, seating was comfortable, air conditioning on a hot day perfect. Outdoor patio dining available. Separate sides for more casual dining. Something for everyone. Try the linguine with clams!
Hidden Gem in the quiet town of Bedford Village. I've been going to each restaurant that has moved into this space over the years, and haven't been back since the new ownership. Food is spectacular and portions are large. A main can easily feed 2 people. Overall this is such a treat, well priced and very comfortable setting
I am gluten free and my spouse is allergic to shellfish. All of our special needs were met and all the food was delicious. The gluten free pasta tasted like the pasta I remember from years ago, and the Marsala was exemplary.
Fantastic restaurant!! We will be back.
I hadn't been to R Lucia in approx 10 yrs as service previously was terrible- I had to actually get the water pitcher myself for refills. I thought I would give them another try but unfortunately the service has not improved. After being seated no waiter came to our table for 10min. I finally flagged down a hostess who got the waiter and our order was taken. After we got our food we didn't see our waiter for at least 20min. I got the host who took a dessert request. After 10-15 with no dessert, I went to front entrance and asked for check as I had to leave. Still no sight of our waiter. If you can't hire enough staff you have to reduce tables to provide basic acceptable service. Unbelievable
The ambiance, the staff is just so amazing. The food is so delicious, fresh. We have been there many times, and every time we go its amazing. They are just beyond amazing how they treat a Celiac person. The waiter remembered us, also remembered that my husband is Celiac. We love this place and highly recommend this restaurant.
Ahh Lucia... after reading the reviews I was very excited to try this place out. Finally brought the family out on a nice Sunday to have lunch.
While the table side bread w/garlicky broccoli rabe spread was a hit it was not a precursor of what was to come.
Our food took a decent amount of time to come out of the kitchen after we ordered and it wasn't slammed but I don't mind taking time to prepare things properly.
The appetizer of choice was arancini, one of which needed to be returned as it was ice cold in the middle. The rice balls themselves were not over worked and had a strong flavor of saffron which was a plus. But still a bit disappointing.
Our mains all came to the table looking fantastic and plated nicely. As far as taste goes everyone one of us agreed that the flavors were good but thats about it. My palermitana came out good, it was lightly breaded but it was soggy, the sides were ok and the white wine sauce was decent. But overall nothing impressive.
The best plate was the homemade gnocchi my sister ordered but even that wasn't a life changing experience. I would consider this an average meal in a nice setting, a little overpriced but knows how to dish Parmigiano out.
